Today is the finals of the Homeless World Cup 2010 in Rio, the home of street soccer. 64 national homeless teams including South Africa have been battling it out for this year's title. Due to insufficient funds, we nearly didn't make it there. Not only about football & the once in a lifetime opportunity it offers each contending player, this annual event is about creating awareness of the 1 billion homeless people in the world today in the hope of inspiring "a healthy, abundant, confident world where everyone has a home, a basic human need".
